Netflix, Silicon Valley (Los Gatos) — 2016 (6 weeks)
In 2016, I had the opportunity to spend six weeks working at Netflix in Los Gatos. During this time, I not only contributed to engineering work but also deeply experienced the culture of the Bay Area and the Silicon Valley.

On weekdays, I worked in Building D alongside a talented and inspiring team, where we rebuilt one of Netflix’s internal applications — a system that remains part of the company’s core infrastructure to this day.

I commuted to the office by bicycle from San Jose. These rides were already enjoyable, but my open and generous colleague Nick Adams offered me his carbon Specialized bike instead of the one provided to me, which opened up the possibility of much longer and more ambitious routes. Thanks Nick!
Every weekend, I explored new parks and hills. One day was dedicated entirely to real American roller coasters at California’s Great America amusement park.

I visited San Francisco and its landmarks — the Golden Gate Bridge, Pier 39, Coit Tower, and the Transamerica Pyramid.

I had an attempt to cycle to the Lick Observatory on the peak of the Mount Hamilton. No luck - the mountain was stronger than me that time. Big hill - big challenge for me.

Work, great people, and a sense of adventure also took me to Santa Cruz and along the breathtaking Pacific Coast Highway, with its unforgettable landscapes.
